The Prophet (saws) made mention of certain surahs and spoke of the blessings that come to the person who read them. For ‘Ayatu-l-kursi he said: “Whoever reads ‘Ayatu-l-kursi four times in a row will have the reward equal to reading the Qur’an once.” Also, “Praise be to Allah who has honored me and honored my community with Surah Ya Siiin (36) and ‘Ayat al-Kursi (2:255) and al–‘ikhlas (112).”
