Al Muntaqim

Al-Muntaqim

He is the Avenger Who breaks up all manifestations of excess, and Who is strong in punishing rebellion after rebuke and warning.  So be in the station of the fear of Allah, and know that from those who fear Him is the proof that His Fear is the root of all goodness.

AL-MUNTAQIM

Allah is the Great Avenger.  Allah punishes those who persist in revolting, raving in their unconsciousness and egotism, creating disharmony, tyrannizing Allah’s servants and His creation.  These are the ones who are faithless and attribute partners to Allah.

He gives them time and occasions to realize and repent for their wrongdoing.  He warns them with repeated warnings.  He accepts their excuses; He delays their punishment.  In forgiving the faithless, in delaying their punishment, His eventual revenge becomes more terrible for the persistent sinner has had further chances to sin, thus making himself deserving of severer punishment.  Those who become the servants of their egos instead of becoming Allah’s servants risk a terrible fall when they feel they are not punished for what they are doing.  They are spoiled by Allah’s mercy, soaring higher and higher in their arrogance.  Suddenly, one day, Allah brings them down.  The fall becomes greater from such heights.  Many tyrants were brought to great heights before they were smashed.  Allah makes those upon whom He takes vengeance a lesson to those whom He wishes to save.

People who know how to take revenge upon the enemies of Allah, the greatest being their own egos, reflect Allah’s attribute, al-Muntaqim.  Hadrat bayazid al-Bistami says, “One night I felt too tired and lazy to perform some of my devotions.  I punished myself by not drinking water for a whole year.”

‘Abd al-Muntaqim is he whose vengeance upon the enemies of Allah is terrible, and who is most vengeful toward his own ego, which is his greatest enemy.

If a faithful person is tyrannized by an enemy of Allah who deserves punishment, reciting ya Muntaqimu ua Qahhar 1000 times a day will remove the tyrant’s power.

  1. what wazifa and how many times must it be recited and at what times to ensure my enemy is to receive punishment from Allah swt. i am greatly inflicted by the pain i have revceived from themselves jointly with he who helped them. this i shall live with all my life and never forgive. I would like to see far greater visible pain what they receive for the damage they have done to myself. It is only Allah swt who is witness to this.

I understand ‘Al Muntaqim’ is one of Allah at tributes is there any other that i can recite during the day or after salah.

    • I am so sorry that you have had this experience. The pain you are experiencing is very clear in your email. The thing you seemed to have missed is that Allah is a God of love, peace, and mercy. His mercy overrides everything else. You must learn to accept whatever Allah gives you and make no mistake, Allah gave you this experience. There is a gift within this experience. Below is an excerpt from The Mirror Principle on my website (see link below) that can help you.

So here is the principle in a nutshell. Everything that happens to you, you have attracted into your life – you have asked for it on some level. And it’s all good. No matter what happened, it was exactly what your soul needed to take the next step in its development. You are never, ever a victim. You are 100% responsible for everything that happens to you. There are no accidents. There is no blame (that includes blaming yourself). I know if this is the first time you’re hearing something like this, it is hard to accept. This principle has taken me years to really get, so don’t feel bad if you don’t get it the first time through.

This is basically what you are saying when you say, la ilaha illa llah. You are saying there is nothing but Allah.

I have added 3 links below for different articles that would help you from my website. Believe me, I am not making light of your difficult and painful experience. I have had many of those myself. Really understanding and getting the mirror principle is really, really, hard, but it will change how you view your life and release the pain and suffering.

      Salaams,
      Jumanah
