Al-Muhaymin
The Protector
Exalted and Glorious
We have sent down to you the Book in truth, continuing the Scripture that came before it, and Muhaymin guarding over it. (5:48)
He is Allah beside Whom none has the right to be worshipped but He, the King, the Holy, the One free from all defects, the Giver of security, the Watcher over his creatures, the All-Mighty, the Compeller, the Supreme. (59:23)
This name is another attribute of Allah, the Exalted and the Glorious, and of the Holy Qur’an. Allah is the Protector of everything and is the Guardian of His bondsmen and a Protector of them. The Holy Qur’an is also the protector of other Holy Books. What agrees with the Qur’an in the other Holy Books is true and what disagrees is changed and untrue.
The inner being of those who recite this name with full attentiveness is luminous.
Al-Muhaymin watches and protects everything. He is the Overseer of the actions of His creation. The Decider of provision and life-span. The One Who ensures welfare and well-being. So worship Him as He deserves to be worshipped; if you do not see Him, know that He sees you.

AL-MUHAYMIN
He is the Protector and the Guardian. He is the one who sees the evolution and growth of His creation, leading them where they are destined to go. Nothing escapes His attention for a moment. He is the one who watches the good deeds and rewards them fully. He counts the sins exactly, not adding to their punishment even an amount the size of a mustard seed.
We may find the reflection of al-Muhaymin in ourselves through consciousness and awareness by intently watching our actions, words, thoughts, and feelings, and by trying to control them.
‘Abd al-Muhaymin is the one who sees the existence and the rules of Allah in everything. In expression of the name ya Muhaymin he watches over himself and others, guarding them against wrong and helping them to secure the things to which they have a right.
Al-Muhaymin, as one of God’s Names containing divine secrets, is mentioned not only in the Holy Qur’an, but in all the ancient divine books. If someone who is aware and attentive in both his daily life and his inner life writes this Name on a piece of silk, holds it over the smoke of burning musk, amber, and sugar, recites ya Muhaymin over it 5000 times a day for seven days, and then puts it under his pillow, by the will of Allah he will dream of the events which will affect both his material and spiritual life in the future.
