Weeks 13-16

Week 13:  Read:  Aisha’s Teaching on Acceptance , Getting Guidance and Istikhara Prayer.  Read the Qualities: Hafidh, Muqit, and Hasib plus Qadir (Able) and Nasir.  Add Hafidh, Muqit, and Hasib to the 38 Qualities from last week.   Now repeat all 41 Qualities in order several times a day until you can repeat all 41 easily.  Ya Allah, Ya Rahman, Ya Rahim, Ya Malik, Ya Quddus, Ya Salam, Ya Mu’min, Ya Muhaimin, Ya Aziz, Ya Jabbar, Ya Mutakabbir, Ya Khaliq, Ya Bari, Ya Musawwir, Ya Ghaffar, Ya Qahhar, Ya Wahhab, Ya Razzaq, Ya Fattah, Ya ‘Alim, Ya Qabid, Ya Basit, Ya Khafid, Ya Rafi’, Ya Mu’izz, Ya Mudhill, Ya Sami’, Ya Basir, Ya Hakam, Ya ‘Adl, Ya Latif, Ya Khabir, Ya Halim, Ya ‘Azhim, Ya Ghafur, Ya Shakur, Ya ‘Aliy, Ya Kabir, Ya Hafidh, Ya Muqit, Ya Hasib.

Write: The sixth station of the heart, Al-Haqiqat: The Station of the Truth.   Sit in reflection after writing it.

New Practice: Continue to do Wudu and Ghusl regularly.  Do wudu after getting up in the morning.  Stay in wudu throughout the day. Start setting your intention to ask for guidance  before making decisions.  Practice what you learned from Getting Guidance.  Begin to notice and discern the subtle changes in your heart when you listen to one voice vs the other.  Use the Istikhara Prayer when making big decisions.

Recite: 100 repetitions of each of the new Qualities.  Sit in Remembrance for 20 minutes daily.  Continue to recite the Fatiha in Arabic several times a day.  Recite the Wird once a day.

Week 14:  Read: Sufi Healing MethodsOrison of the Sea and  Energetically Clean your Home. Read the Qualities: Jalil, Karim, and Raqib plus Qahir and Qarib.  Add Jalil, Karim and Raqib to the 41 Qualities from last week.   Now repeat all 44 Qualities in order several times a day until you can repeat all 44 easily.  Ya Allah, Ya Rahman, Ya Rahim, Ya Malik, Ya Quddus, Ya Salam, Ya Mu’min, Ya Muhaimin, Ya Aziz, Ya Jabbar, Ya Mutakabbir, Ya Khaliq, Ya Bari, Ya Musawwir, Ya Ghaffar, Ya Qahhar, Ya Wahhab, Ya Razzaq, Ya Fattah, Ya ‘Alim, Ya Qabid, Ya Basit, Ya Khafid, Ya Rafi’, Ya Mu’izz, Ya Mudhill, Ya Sami’, Ya Basir, Ya Hakam, Ya ‘Adl, Ya Latif, Ya Khabir, Ya Halim, Ya ‘Azhim, Ya Ghafur, Ya Shakur, Ya ‘Aliy, Ya Kabir, Ya Hafidh, Ya Muqit, Ya Hasib, Ya Jalil, Ya Karim, Ya Raqib.

Write: The seventh station of the heart,  Al-Mahabba: The Deep Love  (This is one of my favorites.  Probably because Sidi says I carry the quality of Mahabba. Makes me cry every time I read it out loud.)  Sit in reflection after writing it.

New Practice: Continue to do Wudu and Ghusl regularly.  Do wudu after getting up in the morning.  Stay in wudu throughout the day. Start setting your intention to ask for guidance  before making decisions.  Practice what you learned from Getting Guidance.  Begin to notice and discern the subtle changes in your heart when you listen to one voice vs the other.  This week I want you to Energetically Clean Your Home.  This will take more time than you think, so do one room a day if you’re doing the Hand of Allah healings in the corners.  Be sure to do the basement (if you have one) as well.  Also, do at least 1 Hand of Allah healing this week.  I encourage you to do at least one healing per week to begin to build your skill and discernment in this area.

Recite: 100 repetitions of each of the new Qualities.  Sit in Remembrance for 20 minutes daily.  Continue to recite the Fatiha in Arabic several times a day.  Recite the Wird once a day.

Week 15:  Read: How to do the Ritual Prayer and Traveling Prayers.  Read the Qualities: Mujib, Wasi’a, and Hakim plus Rabb and Shakir.  Add Mujib, Wasi’a and Hakim to the 44 Qualities from last week.   Now repeat all 47 Qualities in order several times a day until you can repeat all 47 easily.  Ya Allah, Ya Rahman, Ya Rahim, Ya Malik, Ya Quddus, Ya Salam, Ya Mu’min, Ya Muhaimin, Ya Aziz, Ya Jabbar, Ya Mutakabbir, Ya Khaliq, Ya Bari, Ya Musawwir, Ya Ghaffar, Ya Qahhar, Ya Wahhab, Ya Razzaq, Ya Fattah, Ya ‘Alim, Ya Qabid, Ya Basit, Ya Khafid, Ya Rafi’, Ya Mu’izz, Ya Mudhill, Ya Sami’, Ya Basir, Ya Hakam, Ya ‘Adl, Ya Latif, Ya Khabir, Ya Halim, Ya ‘Azhim, Ya Ghafur, Ya Shakur, Ya ‘Aliy, Ya Kabir, Ya Hafidh, Ya Muqit, Ya Hasib, Ya Jalil, Ya Karim, Ya Raqib, Ya Mujib, Ya Wasi’a, Ya Hakim.

Write: The first station of the soul, At-Tafakkur: Silent Remembrance.  Sit in reflection after writing it.

New Practice: Continue to do Wudu and Ghusl regularly.  Do wudu after getting up in the morning.  Stay in wudu throughout the day.   Start doing fajr prayer each  morning.  Doing salat is a very important process, but it has many aspects.  We will be adding it in slowly so you can experience each part.

Recite: 100 repetitions of each of the new Qualities.  Sit in Remembrance for 20 minutes daily.  Continue to recite the Fatiha in Arabic several times a day.  Recite the Wird once a day.  Recite the Qualities you know so far over your food while you are eating it, while taking a shower, or brushing your teeth.

Week 16:  Read: Re-read How to do the Ritual Prayer.   Read the chapter, “As-Salat The Ritual Prayer” from The Deeper Meaning Behind the Pillars of Islam by Shaykh Muhammad al-Jamal (available from sufimaster.org or sufigifts.com).  Read the Qualities: Wadud, Majid (Majestic) and Ba’ith.  Add Wadud, Majid and Ba’ith to the 47 Qualities from last week.   Now repeat all 50 Qualities in order several times a day until you can repeat all 50 easily. (You’re halfway there!) Ya Allah, Ya Rahman, Ya Rahim, Ya Malik, Ya Quddus, Ya Salam, Ya Mu’min, Ya Muhaimin, Ya Aziz, Ya Jabbar, Ya Mutakabbir, Ya Khaliq, Ya Bari, Ya Musawwir, Ya Ghaffar, Ya Qahhar, Ya Wahhab, Ya Razzaq, Ya Fattah, Ya ‘Alim, Ya Qabid, Ya Basit, Ya Khafid, Ya Rafi’, Ya Mu’izz, Ya Mudhill, Ya Sami’, Ya Basir, Ya Hakam, Ya ‘Adl, Ya Latif, Ya Khabir, Ya Halim, Ya ‘Azhim, Ya Ghafur, Ya Shakur, Ya ‘Aliy, Ya Kabir, Ya Hafidh, Ya Muqit, Ya Hasib, Ya Jalil, Ya Karim, Ya Raqib, Ya Mujib, Ya Wasi’a, Ya Hakim, Ya Wadud, Ya Majid, Ya Ba’ith.

Write: The second station of the soul, Al-Hubb: The Sincerity of the Love.  Sit in reflection after writing it.

New Practice: Continue to do Wudu and Ghusl regularly.  Do wudu after getting up in the morning.  Stay in wudu throughout the day.   Start doing fajr prayer each  morning and then Dhuhr at noon. Be sure to Google for the proper time windows to do each of these prayers.  Doing salat is a very important process, but it has many aspects.  We will be adding it in slowly so you can experience each part. Start to memorize Al-Iklas, the Unity prayer, since you will be using it several times a day.  Here are the first 2 lines: Bismillahi-r-rahmani-r-rahim – In the name of Allah Most Merciful and Compassionate

Qul:Huwa allhu ‘ahad – Say: He is Allah, the One

Recite: 100 repetitions of each of the new Qualities.  Sit in Remembrance for 20 minutes daily.  Continue to recite the Fatiha in Arabic several times a day.  Recite the Wird once a day.  Recite the Qualities you know so far over your food while you are eating it, while taking a shower, or brushing your teeth.
