Al Khaliq

Al-Khaliq

The Creator

Exalted and Glorious

Such is Allah, your Lord! There is no god but He, the Creator of all things.  (6:102)

Say: “Allah is the Creator of all things.”  (13:16)

And remember when your Lord said to the angels: “I am going to create man from clay.” (38:71)

Allah is the Creator of all things and He is the Guardian and Disposer over all things.  (39:62)

That is Allah, your Lord, the Creator of all things.  There is no god but He.  None has the right to be worshipped but He.  How then are you turning away? (40:62)

He is Allah, the Creator, the Inventor of all things, the Bestower of Forms. (59:24)

So Blessed is Allah, the Best of creators.  (23:14)

Verily your Lord is the All-Knowing Creator. (15:86)

Is not He Who created the heavens and the earth able to create the like of them?  Yes, indeed!  He is the All-Knowing, Supreme Creator.  (36:81)

This name is an attribute of Allah meaning that it is Allah Who is the only One Who has created the heavens and the earth, Allah Who is the only One Who has created night, Allah Who is the only One Who has created life and death.

To the one who repeats this name at night, Allah will appoint an angel for his security and protection until the Day of Judgment. The reward for this angel’s action will be given to that person.

Al-Khaliq is the Originator of everything.  The One Who has power over everything.  The One Who gives existence to things from nothingness.  He is the Creator of every craftsman, and His crafts reflect upon the creation of Allah, and then praise Him for the greatness of His crafts.

Allah Allah Allah

AL-KHALIQ

He is the one who invents and creates from nothing, establishing at the same time the states, conditions, and sustenance of all that He has created.  He establishes how, when, and where creation will take place.  He creates in accordance with this order.  Everything from the beginning to the end of created existences has been established in goodness, and wisdom.  In accordance with this perfect order, everything follows the path it will follow.  There are no accidents in the universe.

Allah al-Khaliq did not need the creation, nor does He receive any benefit from it.  Perhaps the reason for creation is that He may thus acknowledge His eternal greatness and power, and see His own beauty and perfection.  For He says, “I was a hidden treasure.  I loved to be known, so I created creation.”

Allah existed.  None existed with Him, yet there was nothing lacking or missing before He created the creation.  When He created the universe, nothing was added, nor was anything diminished.

A human being, as the supreme creation, should know that “Allah has created all for humanity and humanity for Himself.”  All creation, and the order that it follows is entirely beneficence and wisdom. One must find these benefits and this wisdom, use them, and feel the blessing of being a part of this creation which is a reflection of the Creator.

‘Abd al-Khaliq is the one whom Allah has rendered able to do all things in accordance with His will.  The one in whom al-Khaliq is manifest sees the universe reflected in him, for he knows everything that surrounds him.  Thus he knows himself: he even knows the unseen, spiritual beings.  Such knowledge is the recreating of the created in our minds.  That is the true extent of human creativity.

If such a person recites the Name al-Khaliq nightly, while keeping its meaning in his heart, Allah will create an angel especially for him who will pray for him till the end of time.
