The person needs to make ablution (wudu) before going to sleep, and then the healer (mu’alij) recites into the two palms of his hands: Ayatu-l-Kursi (2:255), Suratu-n-Nas, (114) Suratu-l-Falaq (113), Suratu-l-‘Ikhlas (112), and Suratu-l-Fatiha (1), and passes his hands over the body of the person 3 times, in the same way he would if he were washing the body.
Make a recording of the recitation of suratu-l-‘iklas, suratu-l-falaq, and suratu-n-nas over and over again for an hour long CD/tape. The person listens to this CD once a day.
Also, recite ayatu-l-kursi (2:255), and the 3 protection suras (112,113, and 114) over water that is to be used for drinking and for a body wash once every 3 days.
After the dawn prayer (salatu-l-fajr), the person recites 100 times:
la ‘ilaha ‘lla-llah (There is no god but Allah)
wahda hu la sharika lah (He is the One and He has no partners)
lahu-l-mulk wa lahu-l-hamd (To Him belongs all the world, and for Him all praise is due.)
yuhyi wa yumit wa huwa ‘ala kulli shay’in qadir (He gives life and takes life, and He is powerful over everything)
