Sahih Al Bukhari Vol7 Hadith # 644
Aisha, the wife of the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, said that whenever the prophet went to bed he used to recite Surah Al-Iklas, Surah Al-Falaq, and Surah An-as and then blow on his palms and pass them over his face and those parts of his body that his hands could reach. And when he fell ill, he used to order that I do the like for him.
Sidi Muhammad al-Jamal taught this surah healing. It is to be performed on the first day for clearing and then again the next morning in order to anchor in the new creation.
- Connect as deeply to Allah as you are able. If you are able to reach the stations of Lahut (the Secret) then go there and cleave to it.
- The healer puts their Right hand on the client’s Heart and their Left hand on the client’s crown. Ask permission before touching the client. Explain what you plan to do.
- Say or sing Surah Ikhlas (112) 3 times to call forth the deepest sincerity, offering or gift.
- Say or sing Surah Falaq (113) 3 times to dispel the outside whispering voices.
- Say or sing Surah Nas (114) 3 times to clear the inside voices of the Self
- Say or sing Surah Fatiha (1) 3 times to open the new creation from God
- Have the client do Ablution (Wudu).
The next morning for part two of the healing:
- Repeat steps 1-6 above
- Say or sing the Athan (Call to Prayer) in the client’s Right ear.
- Have the client do Ablution (Wudu)
- Have the client do some Repentance (al-Tawba) either with the healer or the healer does it as an intercessor. Say: Astaghfir allahu al-azhim – I ask God for forgiveness.
The Athan (Call to Prayer)
Allahu akbar allahu akbar (x2) – God is Most Great
Ash’hadu an la illaha il’allah (x2) – I witness there is no god but God
Ash’hadu anna Muhammadan rasulallah (x2) – I witness Muhammad is the Messenger
of God
Hayya ‘ala salah (x2) – Come to Prayer
Hayya ‘alal falah (x2) – Come into Prosperity
Allahu akbar allahu akbar – God is Most Great
Laiaha il-allah – There is no god but God
There is another healing that uses the same surahs outlined in Spiritual Medicine and Natural Remedies by Sidi Muhammad al-Jamal. He suggests that you use this format when “there is a specific pain in a limb which is not treatable by conventional or physical remedies, or there is paralysis, or there is a dysfunction of one of the senses. Recite these surahs in the following order:
Surah Fatiha, Surah Iklas (112), Surah Falaq (113), Surah Nas (114) and ayatu-l-kursi (2:255). Then do Surah Fatiha 7X, Ayat al-Kursi 7X, Surah Iklas 3X, Surah Falaq 3X, and Surah Nas 3X. Close by saying the following:
wa tanazala al-Qur’ani ma huwa shifa’un wa rahmatun lil’alamin 7X The descent of the Qur’an is a healing and a mercy for all the worlds.
Bismillah ‘urqika mimma fika wa-llahu yushfika min kulli da’in yu’dhika wa min kulli nafsin aw ‘ayni hasidin allahu yushfika 7X By and in the name of Allah, I apply this reciting of these prayers (ruqya) on you directed to what is in you, and Allah heals you of every illness that harms you, from the impact of the nafs, and from every envious eye.
Allahumma rabbi-n-nas idhhab al-ba’s washfi ‘anta sh-shafi la shifa’a illa shifa-uka shifa’an la yughadiru saqaman 7X O Allah, Lord of people, remove all harm. Heal, for You are the Healer. There is no healing, but Your healing; a healing that leaves no trace of illness.
This healing is most effective is repeated for 40 days.
