*You must take a special promise before giving this healing.
*Anyone out of wudu cannot give this healing
1. Make wudu and pray two rak’a. The healer should wear a head covering and it is recommended for the client, also.
2. Attach the protection prayer sheet to the client’s back. If this is impossible, place the protection prayer behind the client.
3. Recite the following once:
‘a’udhu billahi min ash-shaytani-r-rajim bismi-llahi-r-rahmani-r-rahim
I take refuge in Allah from the devil who should be stoned. In the Name of Allah, Most beneficent, Most Merciful.
4. Make the Hand of Allah with your right hand. Look through the Hand of Allah with your right eye into the client’s right eye for 3-5 minutes. While doing this recite:
ya Allah ash-shafi
Oh Allah, (You are the) Healer
5. Repeat this process with the client’s left eye.
6. Next, put your right Hand of Allah on top of the client’s head. Sweep the client while reciting the prayers below. First sweep down the client’s left side (your right side). Then sweep down the client’s right side (your left) and then down the center. You can repeat this series of three cleansing strokes as long as necessary for you to complete the recitation. This does not include sweeping down the back of the client. Begin reciting the series of healing prayers.

In the Name of Allah, I recite this sacred invocation to heal this
person from what he has, a healing that will not leave any trace of illness.
I take refuge in Allah from every evil
and from the evil of any creature You take by its forelock.

pictures, falsehood and thoughts of the past.
Protect me from any supplication that may come from (people’s) minds, and
not from what Allah sent
Protect me from all pictures and thoughts of the past.

Oh Allah! I ask You by Your greatest name,
by (the reality of) Your honored prophets and Your noble angels
to heal this body from evil jinn and evil people.
And please change the life of this person
and heal this body from every disease is contains-
from the diseases of illusion and psychological diseases
And please heal this person from following any teaching that is in opposition
to Your teaching that you sent down to Your messengers
And keep this person distant from every word that is not Yours,
nor is mentioned in Your holy books or on the tongues of Your messengers.

Give this person a new creation that You want, and do not make him the
creation of the one who does not teach what You sent down.
I ask You to heal this person’s body, for You are the Healer. Please grant
healing by the secret of the following ayat of healing:

Allah! There is no god but He-the Ever-Living, the Ever-Watchful.
No slumber or sleep overtakes Him.
All that is in the heavens and earth belongs to Him.
Who is there that can intercede with Him except by His leave?
He knows what is before them and what is behind the, but they do not
comprehend any of His knowledge except what He wills.
His throne extends over the havens and the earth;
It does not weary Him to preserve them both.
He is the Most High, the Great. (Qur’an 2:255)

Oh Allah! I direct myself wholeheartedly by Your Beautiful Names.
Keep this person distant from diseases.
Protect this person and heal what his/her body contains:
the spirit, heart, self and intellect,
until this human becomes the divine slave that You want him to be.
Protect this person’s children and loved ones and protect this person’s
wealth and this person’s body. For You have power over everything.

Qur’an and by the secrets of the divine letters that exist in Your holy book,

In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful!
Praise belongs to Allah, Lord of the Worlds,
the Gracious, the Merciful,
Master of the Day of Judgment.
It is You we worship; it is You we ask for help.
Guide us to the straight path: the path of those You have blessed,
those who incur no anger and who have not gone astray. (Qur’an 1:1)

- Briefly discuss the problem the client wants to work on.
- Encourage the client to pray/remember Allah.
- Have the client sit or lie down during the healing.
- Touch the top of the client’s head and shoulders during the sweeping.

It is Impermissible to:
- Keep the client in the picture. Do not force them to rummage around in the picture.
- Give this healing while out of wudu’ (includes being out of ghusl, on menses, etc.)
Here is a recording done by Amany Shalaby (she was Sidi’s translator for years) to help you learn the suras:
