Be Merciful

The Prophet (ﷺ) stated: “To those who are merciful, the Infinitely Merciful God is merciful. [So] be merciful to whomever [and whatever] is on the earth, then whoever is in heaven will be merciful to you” (Sunan al-Tirmidhi; this particular hadith is considered to be authentic.) Al-Rahimuna yarhamuhumu r-Rahman. Irhamu man fi l-‘ard, yarhamuhum man fi s-sama’—————- الرَّاحِمُونَ يَرْحَمُهُمُ الرَّحْمَنُ، ارْحَمُوا مَنْ فِي الأَرْضِ يَرْحَمْكُمْ مَنْ فِي السَّمَاءِ

I’ve gotten permission from Dr. Alan Godlas (Abdul Haqq), who is a professor at the University of Georgia for Islamic and Sufi studies, to repost his Facebook postings on Islam and Sufism. All translations are done by Abdul Haqq Godlas unless otherwise noted.
